Our 6 week elev8 programme is designed to go beyond standard tutoring, aiming to build confidence and empower students to achieve their learning aspirations. 

From college leavers to qualified and highly experienced teachers, the Educ8 team consists of various skill sets within the education sector. These skills have been combined with our shared passion for positive youth progression to create this comprehensive programme to ensure that students not only receive personalised tutoring but are given the skills and coaching to develop their confidence so they feel able to cope with the challenges faced during their school years.

The core features of the elev8 programme are:

TUTORING

It is proven that having 1 tutor to 2 students (1:2 or paired tuition) lessons are the most effective as it enables students to receive more personalised, focussed care from a tutor while still having the opportunity to interact with peers, share ideas and learn in a collaborative and engaging environment. Each session is 1 hour and will be delivered by a expert in the chosen subject.

MENTORING

The role of a mentor is to build confidence, develop resilience and character, or raise aspirations, rather than to develop specific academic skills or knowledge. Students will be matched with a mentor that is best suited to their needs. Mentoring sessions will be delivered on a 1-to-1 basis.

TESTS & COMPETITIONS

Testing is an important part of the learning process to assess progress of the tutoring sessions and highlight any areas where the student will need more support. On our elev8 programme we do not want to add any unnecessary pressure so our bi-weekly informal game-style testing will be delivered within a virtual group environment. This will be combined with prize-rewarded challenges to encourage peer engagement for confidence building.
